Abrasive Cleaning Service

Niagara Region's number one choice for abrasive cleaning services. At Decora, we provide a number of premium abrasive cleaning solutions such as shot & grit blasting, wet blasting, sand blasting, and glass beading.

We aren't afraid to get our hands dirty! Our trained abrasive cleaning team uses shot blasting and glass beading to remove existing coatings, rust, and scale (like the oxide layer present on laser cut pieces!). The ability to remove these types of layers is absolutely necessary in preparation of painting, no matter what kind it is! Our powerful shot blaster is most effective on large pieces that contain heavy burrs, scale, and or rust. For smaller more delicate pieces we use our glass beading machine. This piece of equipment uses the same method to clean but on a smaller scale and instead of crushed metal media, it blasts fine glass particles to make sure that your product is clean, but not damaged.

Abrasive blasting is a perfect way to clean a substrate of oils, dirt, paint, rust, corrosion, and damaged plating (zinc, nickel, chrome, etc). When powder coating, it is very important for the substrate to be completely clean as these things can interfere with the powder coating process and diminish the performance of the coating. Abrasive blasting is very effective performance and cost wise compared to other methods and is environmentally friendly.

Please choose the solution that works best for you.

Shot/Grit Blasting

We have a fully enclosed, dedicated 20'x40' shot blasting area allowing us to properly clean substrates without the problems associated with weather conditions and environmental safety.

Glass Beading

For Smaller parts, we use our enclosed glass beading machine which allows us to remove surface deposits by applying fine glass beads at high pressure without damaging the surface.
