Due to engineering and budgetary requirements, authentic terracotta was not an option for the vertical shading fins specified on this new build. To satisfy the requirements of the customer, Decora worked with one of its suppliers to develop a custom terracotta finish for the extruded aluminum fins on this 768,000 rentable square foot office building.

The demand for wood on the facade of this 320,000 sq.ft home improvement center was not realistic due to maintenance and building code restrictions. Decora was able to provide a dark cherry finish on fabricated aluminum panels which were used to clad the facade and resolve the aesthetic and technical challenges.

Roots Eaton Centre

Material: 2"x4" Extruded aluminum tubes
Decora provided a custom match to mimic the wood used commonly throughout the Roots stores and provided coatings services on the tubes used to screen the exterior of the high traffic flagship retail store.

Decora worked with PPG to develop a terracotta finish for the client who wanted the look of terracotta but due to the required shapes and sizes, was unable to use the material and as a result, created vertical fins from aluminum. These fins can be seen all along the exterior and throughout the interior of the building.
